Meet Sonia Dwyer

5onia Dwyer is an Information Management professional and HFI Certified Usability Analyst with more than 15 years' combined  international experience in NGOs and private sector corporations. In her various professional roles, she has worked with teams that face the challenge of merging traditional information science principles with modern IM practices and the latest trends of social computing.

In some ways, Sonia has been in the "information" field since the beginning of her career. Whether her work involved research, CRM systems, e-commerce, search engines or Web publishing, the gymnastics that occur behind how information is digitally organized, retrieved and presented has always fascinated her. 

As Sonia digs deeper into the information management profession, one thing that plagues her, as it does many other information management professionals, is the semantic ambiguity and methodological imprecision of the IM field as it struggles to  evolve as fast as information grows. Through this site and other publications, Sonia aims to be a positive influence in the right direction.
